Technologies We Use

We use a variety of open source/commercial solutions to meet the needs of our staff and congregation. Below are some of the basic tools we use daily.

MAIL SERVER
-Zimbra Network Professional Edition (www.zimbra.com)

WEB/DATABASE SERVER
-Apache, MySQL, phpMyAdmin, PHP, BIND9, Joomla

NETWORK CORE
-3COM 3300XM Switches (2 trunked together, 48 ports total, a few links branch off to IDFs in the facility, VLANs)
-Pfsense Firewalls (one for gateway use, one for internal firewalling/VLAN routing)
-Content filtering is provided by a DansGuardian content filtering/proxy

OPERATING SYSTEMS/SOFTWARE
-Windows 2003 Server Standard Edition (For Servers)
-Windows XP Professional (For Desktops/Laptops)
-Ubuntu 8.04 (For Mail/Web/Database Servers)
-AVG 8.0 Network Edition (Spyware, Antivirus, etc.)
-Microsoft Office 2003 Professional
-Shelby Church Management System
-Adobe Reader
-Apple Itunes
-PrimoPDF (www.primopdf.com)
-Internet Explorer 7
-EMS Lite plus Virtual EMS Web
-Vmware Server (used on our 2 2600s)

WIRELESS NETWORK
-Linksys WRT54G and WRT54GS Wireless Routers
-Routers running DD-WRT Firmware
-On separate network segment, uses Captive Portal for Authentication

SERVERS
-(2) Dell 1550s 
-(2) Dell 2600s
-(1) Supermicro 1U Storage Server (1.5TB)

BACKUP
-Imation Odyssey Removable Hard Disk (www.imation.com/products/odyssey/index.html)
-Windows 2003 Backup (switched from Retrospect, has all the features we currently need and its free)
-MozyPRO offsite file backup (performed nightly)

COMMUNICATIONS/PHONE
-Avaya Merlin Magix Phone System
-Octel 50 Voicemail
-Full T-1 provided by TDS Metrocom
-12 outgoing phone lines, 30+ internal extensions
